Ich hab mich nicht getraut zu flashen, nachher habe ich einen großen Briefbeschwerer. Ich überlege noch ob ich das Risiko eingehe, aber mich nervt das Problem und Qnap lässt uns im Regen stehen, vielleicht kann @christian mal bei QNAP nachfragen ?

@unos Ich habe keine TS-253A oder ähnliches und kann das Problem somit nicht reproduzieren. Was ich bräuchte, wäre jeweils ein Dump vom System via https://www.qnap.com/de-de/app…mp_win=1&qts=4.3.3&seq=24 oder du erstellst direkt ein Ticket bei QNAP.

Ist eigentlich schon etwas seltsam, dass es bei einigen Useren funktioniert, und bei anderen nicht. Bei mir ging es auf Anhieb, obwohl ich nicht der Fitteste bin - und die Kiste läuft seitdem einwandfrei. Wird da nicht doch an der einen oder anderen Stelle etwas übersehen? Ich kann dann eigentlich nur empfehlen, bei QNAP ein Ticket abzusetzen und das direkt über den Support versuchen klären zu lassen. Ich habe in den letzten Monaten sehr gute Erfahrungen mit dem Support gemacht. Man muss halt dran bleiben und u.U. auch mal etwas nerven (den Support). Viel Glück.

Das mit dem Dump ist kein Problem, normalerweise haben sie es ja gelöst in dem man das Bios updatet und die EC Version downgraded.

das machen darf oder nicht, ich versteh auch nicht warum das nur bei mir kommt. Im Bios musste ich nichts ändern da der Bios Lock bei mir disabled war. Den Rest hab ich Punkt für punkt abgearbeitet wie in der Anleitung, hab es ja auch gepostet. Der Fehler nach Recherche bedeutet das ein bestimmter Bereich nicht upgedatet werden kann/darf.
Und das Sie es selbst bei NEUEN Geräten so verkaufen find ich ...... hab mich selbst zensiert

Da kannste Qnap eigentlich keinen Vorwurf machen. Die NAS wird produziert und mit Firmware und Bios bereitgestellt welches zum Zeitpunkt der Produktion aktuell ist. Das ist aber bei allen Geräten so.Meins kam mit 4.2.2 irgendwas, also irgendwann zwischen 2016-08-15 - 2016-12-21 hergestellt worden.
Hab es jetzt seit ca. 1 Monat. Hat also etwas länger beim Händler gelegen.

Und wenn @christian nicht das tolle Forum betreiben würde, wüssten wir nichts von dem Update. Denn bei Qnap findst du nichts darüber.
Nicht falsch verstehen, ich häng an meinem QNAP und würde es für nichts eintauschen. Auch mein altes QNAP war hervorragend und ich freue mich echt fast jeden Tag drüber.Fängt deine Serial auch mit Q17 an ?

ChristianIch sehe gerade, dass du 16 GB Ram verbaut hast. Sicherlich auch nicht den originalen von QNAP. Was geschieht, wenn du den originalen RAM wieder einsetzt und dann nur die 8 GB ?

Das Problem hab ich seit ich das Qnap im September gekauft habe mit orig. 8GB, habe doch erst vor ca. 3 Wochen auf 16GB aufgerüstet.
Frisch gekauft eingerichtet, erster Reboot und das Qnap hing
In dem Beitrag von mir am 18 September siehst du das ich updaten wollte mit 8GB RAM wegen dem Problem

Hast du schon versucht, im Bios den Bios-Lock zu setzen, NAS neu starten und dann den Bios-Lockwieder zu entfernen?

Nein, aber die Warnung bedeutet ja nicht das Bios Lock gesetzt ist. Sondern das ein bestimmter Bereich im Bios geschützt ist, zumindest wird es so geschrieben wenn man nach dem Fehler sucht.
Denn nach der Warnung Enabling flash write... Warning: SPI Configuration Lockdown activated. kommt ein Ok!
Wenn ich das richtig verstehe liegt das an flashrom, je nach Board wird flashrom nicht supported oder ungenügend supported und das update kann gut gehen muss es aber nicht. Ich möchte aber keinen großen Briefbeschwerer, von daher die Anfrage bei QNAP

Das ist schon recht merkwürdig. Die Ausgaben weiter oben von Jagi und deine sind bis auf die Warnung identisch.
Eventuell gibt ein ./flashrom -VV -p internal:laptop=this_is_not_a_laptop -o /share/Public/Flashoutput.log (-VV sehr ausführlich, -o file Ausgabe in ein Logfile) noch etwas Aufschluss. -

Das dürfte für dein Problem verantwortlich sein. Da ist ein Registerwert gesetzt, der wohl bei den anderen Usern nicht gesetzt ist.
