QNAP TS-659 Pro RAM-Erweiterung von 1GB auf Max

    Hallo


    wer kann mir Helfen ich würde gerne meine QNAP TS-659 Pro mit ram aufrüsten da 1 GB ein bischen wenig ist


    wie sieht das denn das kann mir da jemand sagen welche Module ich in die TS-659 Pro ( nicht die QNAP TS-659 Pro II oder QNAP TS-659 Pro + ) stecken kann ?? die ohne Probleme funktionieren ??

    The Qnap TS-659 PRO II comes with only 1 GB of RAM. This is very disappointing for the upscale Qnap NAS-device. Qnap attached an ADATA "SU3S1333B1G9-B" DDR3-1333 (9) 1Gx8 S0-DIMM. - But how to upgrade the little RAM of the Qnap NAS-device? -
    This is, what I found out: When you read the specifications of Qnap TS-659 Pro II, the device has a maximum RAM of supposed 3GB. You can buy a 2GB-RAM-upgrade from QNAP, but the price of the upgrade is exorbitant, approximately 100€.- So I searched for a cheaper solution.The following module is fully compatible with Qnap TS-659 Pro II: Kingston "KVR1333D3S8S9/2G" (2GB PC3-10600 CL9 204Pin-S0DIMM with 8-chip-layout!). The price is ten times lower then the Qnap upgrade RAM module (10€). You can buy 2 Kingston modules and the result is, you have 4 GB RAM in your Qnap TS-659 Pro II. So the maximum RAM is not 3 GB as Qnap say, but 4 GB is possible without problems! With the implemented Qnap-64-bit-Firmware 4 GB are fully supported, so it make sense to upgrade to 4GB for only 20€! My Qnap TS-659 Pro II works fine with the 2 Kingston modules! Have fun!


    It is very important, that the RAM-module is a 8-chip-module. I tested a Mushkin-module with 16 chip-layout and this was not working! So I hypothesize, that all DDR3-1333-204Pin-modules with 8-chip-layout will work.

    SearchHH, der von Dir zitierte englische Beitrag gilt aber für die Modelle TS x59 Pro II, also die dem "II" am Schluss. Die sind anders aufgebaut! Der Thread bezog sich auf das Modell TS-659 Pro ohne dem "+" und auch ohne dem "II".
    Damit dürfte das TS-659 Pro dasselbe RAM benötigen wie mein TS-459 Pro (auch ohne + und ohne II). Siehe auch meinen Beitrag in

    heisst es dort bei allen TS x59 Pro Modellen auf Seite 16 "Kompatibel mit DDR2-667-DRAM".
    Die TS x59 Pro II Modelle hingegen haben aber alle schon ein DDR3 - RAM (800 Mhz reichen laut Tabelle).


    Leider weiss ich aber immer noch nicht weiter (bin kein RAM Spezialist), welchesDDR2-667-DRAM in der 2GB Grösse ich nun bei einem TS-x59 Pro Modell anstelle des verbauten 1 GB Moduls einbauen kann. Wäre super nett wenn jemand hier weiter hilft:

    So jetzt habe ich es einfach mal probiert.
    An meinem QNAP TS 459 Pro (das Modell ohne dem "+" und ohne "II") die 3 Schräubchen entfernt, Deckel runter. Das Original RAM war schnell zu sehen. Zum Entfernen einen langen Power-Stecker abgenommen, den Original 1 GB ADATA RAM Riegel rausgenommen und einen 2 GB Riegel von Kingston stattdessen eingebaut.


    Funktioniert bestens, habe nun das doppelte RAM und auch mehr Power.


    Neu verbaut habe ich das hier: KVR800D2S6/2G (Kingston ValueRAM, 2GB, DDR2-800, CL6, SO-DIMM). Funzt 1a. Dürfte meines Erachtens auch für die anderen TS x59 Pro Modelle (ohne + , ohne II) passen
