  • Firmware Upload hängt bei 10%

    Darauf kann Dir keiner eine Antwort geben, weil wir ja nicht genau wissen, was los ist.


    Die Recovery läuft Dir ja nicht davon... Ich persönlich würde daher nun, wie von GorillaBD beschrieben, alle Partitionen von den Platten entfernen, dann versuchen, das System neu aufzusetzen und danach das backup einspielen. Erst wenn hier definitiv nichts geht, dann zur Firmware Recovery greifen... deshalb sprach ich auch von "ultima ratio".


    Nebenbei: Ich wollte mir gestern vorsorglich auch das mehr als 450 MB große Iso file für meine Kiste herunterladen, aber immer bei 99% hing der download... :-/


    => Bevor Du mit der recovery loslegst, solltest Du also alle notwendigen downloads "im Sack" haben

    Ja, aber mit Zertifikaten etc. zu hantieren ist nicht ohne. Man sperrt sich leicht dauerhaft selbst aus ... Wer seine Firewall via Portforwarding öffnet, um von aussen auf's heimische NAS zuzugreifen, riskiert m. E. deutlich mehr.

    I'm afraid we started discussing Firmware v3.8.1 Build 1205 without you. Due to QNAP's continued inability to produce acceptable Firmware, we assumed it was a Beta rather than a so-called "[STABLE]" release, so we already started comments about it in the [BETA] TS-110/119/210/219/410/419 Turbo NAS Series Forum instead.


    We have found a few issues unaddressed. Please review the following list:


    •[BETA]Firmware 3.8.1 build1205
    •[v3.8.1-1205] Proper time sync MIA - ntpd still not used
    •[v3.8.1-1205] Unable to configure /tmp mountpoint
    •[v3.8.1-1205] Antivirus - scan jobs edit action broken
    •[v3.8.1-1205] WebDAV - still no SSO (LDAP, AD integration)
    •[v3.8.1-1205] Enable configuration reset switch - dangerous
    •[v3.8.1-1205] NFSv4 configuration, authentication etc.
    •[v3.8.1-1205] Time sync daily borked by stupid crontab
    •[v3.8.1-1205] rsync configuration still non-existent

    I'm a bit confused about QNAP's criteria for deciding what constitutes a [STABLE] release vs a [BETA] release. I am also starting to question QNAP's understanding of the word "Upgrade". I have always believed that Upgrades were supposed to address "known" issues. This latest Firmware has more bugs than the v3.8.0 release it was supposed to be replacing.

    When can we expect the other issues addressed? If you continue to show this kind of "innovation", and "progress" at addressing Firmware issues it will take "some years" rather than "some months" to resolve everything. I personally can not wait for "years" to get an actual [STABLE] Firmware from QNAP, so I would appreciate a firm estimate from QNAP as to what year it will be when we see Firmware that it worth using. Why is QNAP so unconcerned with it's now non-existent Reputation? How long to you believe QNAP's marketing department can put a positive spin on this horrible mess that QNAP R&D has created. Please ask your company to start demonstrating "nonstop innovation and passion", instead of "nonstop silence and incompetence"

  • RAID5 - Disk 4 removed

    Ich vermute die Platte ist defekt. Was sagt denn der Smart Test?
    Wenn die Platte defekt ist, hilft auch Ziehen und Wiedereinstecken nichts, sondern nur ein Backup von Daten und Systemeinstellungen und eine neue Platte...


    Jeder Resync stresst zudem auch die (noch) fehlerfreien übrigen Platten erheblich, wenn dann dabei eine 2. Platte ausfällt, war's das mit den Daten.

  • USB-Festplattengehäuse USB 3.0

    Wenn man die Beiträge im "englischen" QNAP Forum liest, stößt man immer wieder auf Hinweise, dass die Ursache auch für USB 3.0 Probleme "völlig veraltete" Kernel und Treiber sind.


    Deshalb toben die Poweruser / Moderatoren dort auch so, weil QNAP trotz diverser Hinweise / Betatest-Berichte mit der 3.8. marketingwirksam bislang nur die Optik poliert und die darunter liegenden Probleme bei NAS Kernfunktionen wie nicht anpackt.


    Ganz ehrlich, ob mein nächstes NAS noch von QNAP kommt, muß ich mir genau überlegen...

    Das Problem ist, dass Synology lt. QNAP Forum offenbar auch keine Alternative ist.
    Diejenigen, die dort gerade wegen 3.8.0 toben und von QNAP endlich Industrie-übliche Tauglichkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit fordern, wollen offenbar auch nicht ernsthaft umsteigen...


    => Wenn einer einen NAS Hersteller mit einer nach europäischen Standards und mit zertifizierter Qualitätssicherung entwickelten Firmware kennt, bitte melden... aber vermutlich könnten / wollten sich das nur wenige leisten.

  • Updatesicherheit?

    Meine Einstellungen / Berechtigungen wurden durch ein Update noch nie überschrieben. Meine Aussage bezieht sich auf die FW bis einschl. 3.7.3. Die 3.8. werde ich mir erst antun, wenn sie stabil scheint.

  • Vorbeugende Maßnahmen zur Erhaltung der Funktionsfähigkeit

    wenn man Probleme mit dem Setzen / Annehmen von Berechtigungen hat (für die Suche zusätzlich formuliert: geänderte Berechtigungen werden nicht angenommen ) hilft vielleicht dieser Thread: http://forum.qnapclub.de/viewt…&t=21451&p=134086#p134086


    Auch wenn die Ursache noch nicht klar scheint, ist das Sichern der Konfiguration nach erfolgreichen Änderungen an Freigaben, Usern, Berechtigungen etc. immer eine gute Idee bzw. vorbeugende Maßnahme für den Fall des Falles...


    Ich sichere mir zusätzlich auch noch einzeln die smb.conf und die uLinux.conf, weil beide config files "nicht ganz unwichtige" :roll: Einstellungen enthalten und es gut ist, wenn man davon (noch) nicht "verhunzte" Versionen hat, die man im Klartext lesen kann.
