I solved this problem by changing the printer port. Rather than connecting to the printer in Windows via a standard TCP/IP port, connect it to a "local port" and make the local port name something like this:
\\192.168.15.3\nasboxpr3
This is how mine is configured.
Substitute your NAS IP address and printer name and you should be good to go.
