ich habe einen Brother MFC-9180 als USB-Mulifunktionsgerät an einer TS-419 angeschlossen.
Obwohl ich mir nun einbilde, alle Tips in diesem Thread ausprobiert zu haben, bleibt es mir mir dabei, dass scanimage -L dieses Ergebnis ausgibt:

die Suche nach dem Gerät mit sane-find-scanner ergibt wie bei vielen anderen hier:
