  • Wishlist:
    - Home & SOHO NAS NAS with USB3-Support (4 Ports) in near future (Since Qnap enterprise NAS with USB3 are avaible ppl like me wait instead of buying a Home & SOHO NAS with only USB3)
    - 3Bay Home & SOHO NAS 319TP+
    - If possible sleep mode of external drives controllable by the NAS

  • 2/4 Bay NAS with Core i3 or i5 CPU for Prosumer Market to run apps which need a high performance (for example on-the-fly video conversion with ffmpeg) :)

  • - an shredder for documents
    - an "turbo button switch" like the pc's on the 80's. Half the speed and the power or press turbo to get full throttle
    - an mini beer holder with cooling system on the left for german users
    - nespresso function

  • My biggest wish,....

To configure specific User for the FTP-Server use.
Today every user can use it. As workaround: only user with an strange password can use FTP other user can't use the ftp-Server.

    Thank You

  • my wish is :

to have a better support from QNAP :
    - response time
    - possibilty of tracking the reported issues concerning status of processing
    - more responsibilty/know how for OEM produccts like twonky

    Gruß

Just missing the Beercooler, Crushed-Ice dispenser, Liquid-Swartz dispenser, babelfish-interface and an detachable Neuralisator
(like the ones in MIB, this is the most Important device here, so I can forget all the crap here ;)

42"-Display with 5D-Support und Dolby-Digital-24.6 Support (this should make an Earthquake really feel like one!)

  • Soft:

    - A Copy & Paste function in System Logs and a countryflag behind the Users IP would be nice. :D
    - A more detailed Resource Monitor, specially CPU and Bandwidth.

    Hard:

    - Make the new QNAPs more quiet. Sometimes mine sounds like a mower. :-/

I know its about the HDDs but the case is a too good resonator. :D

  • I'd like to have a Smartphone-App with the following features:

    - WOL
    - Shutdown via WLAN
    - Access to Office-Files

Also z.B.

  • A reliable multimedia station with a recognizable improvement from one version to the next one instead of replacing one bug with two new (or old) ones. A multimedia station supported by a company instead of one company pointing to the other for support.

    So long ...

    • native CalDAV and CardDAV (or adressbook-ready LDAP Server) (Maybe SoGo? DAViCal?)
    • StandBy-Support
    • more intelligence for the poweroff schedule (ping specific IPs, look for open connections)
    • integration of debian/ubuntu APT repository ;)
    • native TFTP/PXE Boot Server
    • Mapping of remote shares to local shares (AVM Fritz!Box does something like that with WebDAV and caching on a local USB key)

Did you seen my "OpenSource Groupware Post?" ;)
Obwohl.

integration of debian/ubuntu APT repository ;)

Not needed. -> You can convert the .deb to .ipkg packages (Das war auch das letztendlich entscheidene für die Groupware)
Alternativ kannste Dir was bootstrappen ;)
Alles andere wie steht's i.O.

    Gruss
    Michael

  • either:
full integration of Downloadstation in Firefox and Chrome (like the integration in MS Internet Explorer)

    or:
    Qget with full commandline control
(then I can configure other download manager to forward downloads to the downloadstation)

  • English version below...

    Moin;
    ich tät mir wünschen:
    - WOL

    - gut funktionierendes standby :!::!:

    - brauchbaren Webserver auf einem 109 - prinzipiell es geht alles,

Sonst alles schön - insbesondere der geringe Stromverbrauch ;)

    Gruß
    Ralph

    Hello,

I would wish for my TS109
    - WOL
    - good working standby functio
    - performant running webserver (in principle it woork, but the answering times are much too low on my CPU,
But a fan is not aceptable..
(Webdav not working on my TS109)

Overall it works - a special highlight is the low power consumption.
    Greetings
    Ralph
